I had this same problem w/ 7.2. I never got an answer. The problem went away when I upgraded to 7.3. Not the best answer in the world, but unfortunately the only one I know about. Greetings all, I was trying to look up "xml" in the help system, and I noticed that it says my konqueror associatons for text / html are set but konqueror can't handle this filetype. duh.. Some searchs I did for the exact message http://www.netsys.com/cgi-bin/suse-linux-e?adv&d=1000&q=there%20appears%20to %20be%20a%20configuration%20error%2E%20You%20have%20associated%20Konqueror%2 0with%20text%2Fhtml%2C%20but%20it%20can%60t%20handle%20this%20file%20type%2E (A bunch of people asking about this problem and nobody has an answer, although one guy removed his text/html mime type and was getting html source code ;o) .) and google search... http://www.google.com/search?q=%22there+appears+to+be+a+configuration+error. +You+have+associated+Konqueror+with+text/html,+but+it+can%27t+handle+this+fi le+type.%22&num=100&hl=en&filter=0 bagh.. no help there. altavista shows 0 hits northerlight 0 hits http://www.suse.com/cgi-bin/htsearch.cgi no hits. The exact message is: "there appears to be a configuration error. You have associated Konqueror with text/html, but it can't handle this file type." Okay, so if the suse help system is broken how do I remove it? I might as well not even have it if it's broken. Should I remove htdig as well, if that ain't no good either. If you were having this problem, what would you remove? e.g which packages should now be removed because they are just taking up space.
