I have two machines that use the MSI KM4M-V mother board. The board use the VIA KM400 and VIA VT8237 chipsets with AC97 sound card integrated. (VIA1617A Codec) I have SuSE 9.3 installed on both machines and on both we experiece weird problems with the sound card. It disappears between boots. Then, if you just go into the BIOS and exit with saving, the card is detected again. Any idea what it could be or where I should start looking? BIOS update maybe?
Hmmm.. Yes, I never thought of that, as the board is new. But I will give it a try. Thanks -- Andre Truter | Software Engineer | Registered Linux user #185282 ICQ #40935899 | AIM: trusoftzaf | http://www.trusoft.za.org ~ A dinosaur is a salamander designed to Mil Spec ~
