Today I downloaded the patch file for stock kernel 2.2.16 (the one from kernel.org) and then rebuilt my kernel and modules (after make oldconfig). Now, when I boot I get the message: kernel module version mismatch /lib/modules/2.2.16/misc/sound.o was compiled for version 2.2.15 while this kernel is version 2.2.16 I get those same messages with "modprobe sound.o" after bootup. I built the kernel and modules with this command: make dep clean bzlilo modules modules_install I've repeated the make modules modules_install tep several times and also have checked that the sound.o file was compiled just a few minutes ago. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
