Anyone recall what file it was that had the setting string to control what the background color was on the KDM logon screen. It was a blueish color I recall in kde-2.2.1 but in kde-2.2.2 it's the ugly yellowish color that XDM uses. I can't seem to recall which file and setting controlled that in KDE so that I can change it back. -- S.Toms - smotrs@mindspring.com - www.mindspring.com/~smotrs SuSE Linux v7.2+ - Kernel 2.4.4 "But don't you worry, its for a cause -- feeding global corporations paws."

The file is /opt/kde2/share/config/kdm/kdmrc. It can be easily configured in the Control Center -> System -> Login Manager. PCHintz

I messed up the description above. I meant to say that the screen that pops up, just after the logon screen disappears with the KDE loading inits window in the middle. That screen is all of a sudden the yellow color I mentioned above. Sorry for the confusion.

I messed up the description above. I meant to say that the screen that pops up, just after the logon screen disappears with the KDE loading inits window in the middle. That screen is all of a sudden the yellow color I mentioned above. Sorry for the confusion.

The various files you see on the screen are located in /opt/kde2/share/apps/ksplash/pics PCHintz
