Dillo v0.8.5-rc1 Lightweight web browser
NOTE: this is a release candidate.... dillo-0.8.5-rc1.ssl.i686.rpm is available for download: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/dillo-0.8.5-rc1.ssl.i686.rpm http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/dillo-0.8.5-rc1.tar.bz2 http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/dillo-0.8.5-rc1.ssl.src.rpm What's Dillo? * Dillo is a web browser project completely written in C. * Dillo is small: source is less than 365 KB, and the binary is around 265 KB! * Dillo aims to be a multi-platform browser alternative that's small, stable, developer-friendly, usable, fast, and extensible. * Dillo is mainly based on GTK+ (GNOME is NOT required!) * Dillo is a free-SW project in the terms of the GNU general public license. * Current code uses gzilla-0.2.2's html-parser, and almost everything else was rewritten from scratch! * Dillo is very fast! I have enabled the experimental ssl. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

I was on to write to you and ask for the src.rpm of your previous 'dillo-0.8.4' package, but you were just a little faster with the new version;) Tomorrow I will download your files for sure and (as usual with your binaries,) they will work just perfectly even that this time it's an RC... Thanks for your contribution, but if you don't mind, would be please possible to provide at least the src.rpm for the ssl _disabled_ (original?) version as well? I didn't play too much with it's source last time, but remembering something with uncommenting a single line, or something similar. Is there a chance again, please, to prepare both versions, one with ssl enabled and another one without it? Thank you, Balazs MELIKANT (pelibali)

the only difference in enabling ssl is to change dillo-0.8.5-rc1/dpi/https.c line 56 from #undef ENABLE_SSL to #define ENABLE_SSL

I edited the 0.8.4 spec to use the 0.8.5 tar ball w/o even updating the CHANGELOG (too much hurry). the non-ssl is available: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/dillo-0.8.5-rc1.i686.rpm http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/dillo-0.8.5-rc1.src.rpm a note of interest from the dillo-dev list: There have been no build complaints/faults noted or other problems. The rc1 with the exception of it's name will become version 0.8.5 tomorrow. I will *not* update my builds in this case just for a name change. another note: https logins are possible (I can access Yahoo), but only for the first instance of dillo. The cookie files are locked by the first instance. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery
