TW with kernel 5.14.5 can't detect Realtek network devices
Folks! Did the upgrade latest TW upgrade with kernel 5.14.5 - Does not recognise either my Ethernet or Wifi devices. I have used grub to boot back to Kernel: 5.14.2-1-default. "hwinfo --network" only returns the loopback!!! Waiting for Realtek r8168 Ethernet and rtw89pci Wifi modules on Sauerland hardware repo, but I wonder if this will work if the kernel can't even detect the HW. Anyone else had this problem? -- Regards, Ariez ajv@opensuse.org

Post: zypper se -si r8168 rtw89 and uname -a from the non working kernel Stephan
Maybe because of glibc2.34. I have triggered a rebuild of my Tumbleweed packages, so please wait. Stephan Am Donnerstag, 23. September 2021, 12:17:54 CEST schrieb Stephan Hemeier:

The packages are build with glibc 2.33 for the "old" kernel...... Try a zypper dup Stephan
Many thanks Stephan, Seems the rebuilt packages have done the trick all working well now! A couple of points for anyone else with the same issues as I also use the Packman repo the recommendation from the docs is to give it priority 90 so its always favours Packman - adjust your repo priorities accordingly. And... "zypper ref" was necessary before "zypper dup --allow-vendor-change" to allow packages to change back to the home_Sauerland_hardwarerepo.
