[opensuse] Dolphin not displaying network places
Probably after some update Dolphin no longer displays network places only local things. Possibly I fubarred my config but I can't find out how or why. On the upside: I rediscovered konquerer that does give all network places, browses the net and browses the locals. Now if only it also would make coffee... So basically the problem has been solved, but I'm still wondering. Check you haven't accidentally hidden it by right-clicking the Places panel and Show All Entries. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That entry isn't shown in the menu. I have: Add Entry Show hidden places Hide Section "Recently Saved' Icon Size Unlock Panels Most promising looked Show 'hidden places', but there was a lot of junk, but no 'Network Places'. Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe I wasn't clear. I don't have a submenu 'Remote'. That's the heart and soul of the problem. At least in my case, to see the option 'Show Hidden Places', you need to right-click on one of the Places headings, e.g. 'Places', 'Recently Saved', etc. The option doesn't show if you right-click on one of the items within these headings. gumb -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Maybe I wasn't clear. I *do* see the option 'Show hidden files', but that only gives me junk. Let me quote a piece of history: <Copy paste from yesterdays news> (gumb):Check you haven't accidentally hidden it by right-clicking the Places panel and Show All Entries. (Jos) That entry isn't shown in the menu.
