Hi
I am using SuSE 6.3 and I have set a partition for /var at 100mb. During installation of the default SuSE system, YaST reported that there was 50mb free space, but since running the system /var is now full.
Should CRON remove old messages such as /var/log/messages and /var/log/xdm.errors?
CRON is set to run, but my PC does not run overnight, should it run overnight to keep space on /var free? Or have I just not set enough space on the partition for /var?
The default cronjobs run at night, but you could change it to some other time, where you know your computer is on and not under heavy use. Or you could leave it on overnight just once a week.
