Are you sure /dev/scd0 is the right device name? If not, check /var/log/messages for the correct cd/rw device name. If yes, check that all required modules are loaded properly since the message "/dev/scd0: unknown device" means the corresponding driver is not present in your kernel. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
