Hey Group; I up to now never run KDE due to the slow, high resource using of KDE. Now with a new 10 time faster machine I am using KDE shipped with 9.0. Problem is KDE seems to lockup the whole machine. That is keyboard, mouse and screen even control alt delete fails. Note power off does! Anyway I have gone back to fvwm2 and the problem has gone away. Has anyone else seen this undiserable behavior? This system is a ASUS A7N8X-E with a Nvidia FX5200 AGP card. I do have all of the latest Nvidia driver software. -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 Dump Microsoft Software - Stop virus email Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org " http://counter.li.org " #279316

I had stability problems with SuSE 9.0 and this was resolved by removing 'Desktop' option from the boot loader. Please note that this problem occurred on a number of different boxes.
