Does the current xv handle the jpg files that don't scan line-by-line, but start out blurry and get progressively clearer (might be called "progressive scan" or somesuch)? The ancient xv I have fails on these saying "unsupported filetype, SOF = 0xC2" or something like that. I know, I know, I should register my copy and send the author some money. I've never encountered such a jpg in xv, could you send me one? By the way, there is also a very fast image veiwer, which has a builtin slideshow, called "qiv", quick image viewer. Look for it on Freshmeat.net. It is very fast to load, and has alot of nice features.
