Sorry, I know, this is asked already several times. But I am still unsure. If I make a new just from the cd instalation, can I use my /home without problems or shoeld I backup everything first. It would be my first backup with Linux (after one and a half years ;-)). What should I preferably use?

/home on seperate partition should be OK, but always do a backup. Preference is tape, but you can burn it onto CDROM, or zip etc. If you can backup the entire /home diectory so much the better, that way you won't forget anything. Done new installations without formatting the /home partition without issues before. Matt
