Kaveri is the name of my server machine and intra.net is the domain name for my intranet. I have named running on the same machine with complete data of the intra.net domain. I have also grepped the files in the /sbin/init.d to see which script is generating the "SSL disabled ..." message but come up with nothing.

Executing /sbin/inet.d/apassl restart gives the following: Reload SSL Apache configuration SSL disabled for server kaveri.intra.net:80

Am I missing some configuration file that was not generated by YaST installation? I would appreciate if anybody in this list can help me understand the above error and run Apache SSL with SSL enabled successfully.

Hello Arun You should have a look to the configuration file in /etc called rc.config. In this file should be a variable which controls the loading and starting of your SSL-Layer. I'm only using SuSE 5.1 so I'm sorry that I can't tell you the name of the variable.
