-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Some days, on return from hibernation or suspend, the WiFi doesn't get a connection. It can see the router, but something fails and there is no connection. By chance, I suspended the laptop in the middle of writing this post, and wlan is working again, so I got a workaround :-? I paste the log in case someone has an idea what is going on. However, I will not be able to do any testing on the site, as I'm crossing the pond today, back to home. I may be able to do quick tests while packing. cer@Laicolasse:~> susepaste -n "Carlos E R" -t "journal wlan" -e 40320 wifiproblemjournal.txt Pasted as: https://susepaste.org/903011e57cfa https://paste.opensuse.org/903011e57cfa Link is also in your clipboard. cer@Laicolasse:~> - -- Cheers Carlos E. Sep 17 07:28:18 Laicolasse.valinor kernel: wlan0: send auth to 48:29:52:fd:a5:9f (try 3/3) Sep 17 07:28:19 Laicolasse.valinor kernel: wlan0: authentication with 48:29:52:fd:a5:9f timed out It is impossible to say more. Assuming your interface did send these packets, apparently the problem is on AP side.

I thought so to, but being mine I do not want to ask to do that. My normal procedure was to reboot the laptop and it worked. And this time suspend worked. And my phone was working all the time. Ok, I'll blame the router, good to know :-) - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. Well, I crossed the pond, and the problem just happened again. So it has to be my computer. Close the lid, wait for the red led to blink indicated suspend, open the link, and the wlan is active and working. I haven't investigated anything yet. I have a fever (covid, actually), so not a sharp mind. But I can try to follow suggestions or requests. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.5 (Laicolasse))

Get well soon Carlos!, and ... Never trust anyone unvaccinated or not wearing a mask :) In this case, the good guys really do wear masks.... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

Thanks.

I am vaccinated, same as the relatives in which house I stayed. We all got it, so most likely from the same source, probably a restaurant (you don't wear masks when eating, anyway). Nobody has said "wear masks" yet. Now I do, in order not to infect others. Anyway, that is OT. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.5 (Laicolasse))

You should have run a virus scan. 😉

I had it once, barely noticed, but I take it that you've had it several times now :-) They say slowly surping large quantities of hot fluids helps, I can vouch for vodka & shnaps even if less than a liter. -- Ain't but five things in life worth fighting for, namely these four: sex, loot, and the freedom to pursue high ideals!

Just this once, at least with verification. At this epoch and with vaccination, it feels like a bad flu.
