Form needed for spamassassin white list
We're running spamassassin at our office. When false positives come in my coworkers send me an email of the person/company for me to add to our whitelist. I'm getting tired of putting it on for everyone. Does anyone know of a way I can create a html form so that users in the office can enter and email address and have it added to .spamassassin/user_prefs so I don't have to do it? A step-by-step would be nice. Thanks! -- ---------------------------- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems, Inc. 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com ----------------------------

There's a Webmin (http://www.webmin.com/) module for configuring SpamAssassin: http://spammin.sourceforge.net/. I don't know if it will do the kinds of configuration you want, but it's probably worth checking out. Likewise if you're not now using Webmin.
Thanks!
De nada.

Oops. That needs a little correction. From the aforementioned site: "Now that Webmin comes with a build in SpamAssassin module, I've stopped developping this module." So just install Webmin and you'll get the built-in SpamAssassin configuration module. It's in the 9.1 distribution, but there's a newer version available on the Webmin site, and since Webmin is platform-neutral (i.e., it's distributed in a "-noarch" RPM), there's no concern about finding a suitable package. If you're using per-user config files, you might look into the SQL-based config setup. I've got user preferences stored in a MySQL backend, and it works pretty nicely. From there, I'm using a SquirrelMail plugin that lets users change several of their options. Granted, that's probably 2 or 3 systems that may not be options for you, but if they are, the combination works well. :) --Danny
