[opensuse] Wine for running Windows 10 apps on Linux gets big upgrade | ZDNet
I see Wine 5.0 is out, but in Leap 15.1 it's only at 3.7. Any plans to update? https://www.zdnet.com/article/wine-for-running-windows-10-apps-on-linux-gets... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

When I try to update Wine, it does not update the installed to 5. But Yast Online Update now shows wine-devel for 5.0. I guess something is not quite ready. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It works here. But it is not yast update you have to use, but the standard package management module (sw_single). search "wine". Click on version tab, and for each package right click "update unconditionally" or in the version tab select the correct one. Sorry, that was an error on my part. I was in Software Management, which is sw_single.

I went into the version tab and selected 5. It's running now.
