You might also try Aethera which should be coming out of Beta sometime soon (see http://www.theKompany.com). I think it has everything you are looking for, and it's a "pure QT" app (versus a KDE/QT app).

This program seems really cool, but doing a 'ps -ef | grep kdeinit' still shows several instances of kdeinit, just like kmail. So I wonder if it will give me the same problems... time will tell ;| Thanks everyone for the good reccomendations! _Nic
