On opensuse 11.0 after update to the latest openOffice 3.1.1.1-1.1, the file open dialogs seem to have reverted back to some old style of dialog that doesn't have a navigation tree ( whatever you call it ) that allows you to easily navigate up and down through directories. I'm sure this is a situation where I need to change an option to use my kde dialogs in openOffice, or something similar, but I can't find the setting.

What's the trick?

One more symptom, I was running oo 2.4 prior to the upgrade. In 2.4, I have full kde open/file save dialogs and 1-click navigation worked. Now in 3.1.1, the "places" part of the dialog is gone and I am now forced to double-click everything in the file open/save dialogs. How do I tell oo to use the kde dialogs?? I have checked all the oo options and nothing pops out. I don't remember having to do anything special in oo 2.4 to get the dialogs. Any thoughts on how I get them back? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
