How do I ftp into my computer?
I'm running 8.2 and wondering what I need to do to ftp into a specific folder on my system. I only want, say - "FTP" folder to be an option for someone...nothing else. What are the steps to set that up on my system? Here's the catch, I have a firewall on a separate computer which runs ipchains. How would I configure it to allow FTP to be passed thru to my computer? This is how most of the entries on my firewall.local are setup.... ipchains -A output -i $EXTERNAL_INTERFACE -p udp \ -s $EXTERNAL_IP $UNPRIVPORTS -d $ANYWHERE 4000 -j DENY -l ipchains -A input -i $EXTERNAL_INTERFACE -p udp \ -s $ANYWHERE 4000 -d $EXTERNAL_IP $UNPRIVPORTS -j DENY -l I would like ftp requests to be sent to 192.168.0.2. What would the entry look like? Thanks! Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
