Im thinking of asking Mr Ballmer to tell you guys to shut up and
stuff, cause it seems that everything he says is the largest truth of
the universe, and everybody should agree...
If he tells your guys to jump in a swamp, or to buy M+Ms... heh, never mind

And this has what to do with a technical issue with openSUSE Linux? Well that'd be 'bald faced liars' meaning clean-shaven, no mask and telling lies with a straight face without any shame. So what's changed since Linus released Linux in 1991 was it? Same old, same old. Microsoft has been saying this since day 2 of Linux. Microsoft has been spreading FUD about something since day one of their operations.

I call BULLSHIT! Forking really helped commercial UNIX fight off the Microsoft menace now didn't it? You've really bit into the new SCO-bait haven't you? Without specifying anything, Microsoft is trying to prove Linux infringes something. Now you are actively supporting Microsoft's position by ranting and raving here exactly what they want you to be ranting and raving about. If you just keep spreading the Linux goodness like you did after that wonderful Vista/Powerpoint presentation then Linux will survive whatever Microsoft can possibly throw at it.
Don't Tread On Me
I won't if you won't. Please quit dumping corporate marketing FUD into a technical list. This is the openSUSE list where anyone can come to get help with their openSUSE/SLES/SLED technical issues and get redirected to a more appropriate list if needed.

The last I heard, there were to be no distributors for Suse Linux, or whatever it's called now--you would have to buy it direct from Novell. Has this changed? --doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

... you're probably gonna get me into trouble for posting on the technical list again ... but, no, uh, --- what I meant by distributor is someone who makes a "distro". Novell openSUSE is a linux "distro" and Novell is the "distributor". Redhat also distributes linux. Best-Buy (on the other hand) used to be a "remarketer" of openSUSE linux. Novell still distributes linux, but alas (Uffduh) Best-Buy is no longer is an openSUSE linux remarketer. -- Kind regards, M Harris <>< -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Such as??? There is a computer vendor, located near me, that sells laptops loaded with Linux or no OS for less than they charge for the same computer with Windows. Most hardware today comes with bundled software. Grafix board come with video processing software, games etc. Motherboards if they include onboard sound come with sound and multimedia related software. DVD drives, soundcards.....and all that software will be more that likely written for Windows. You pay for it every time you buy any of those. -- Regards, George Osvald OK Studio ® http://www.okstudio.com.au Email: mail@okstudio.com.au -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Well, here in South Africa I can go to the main computer shops (not many) and can only get XP or Vista on the laptops. Dell wont sell me an OS-less laptop. The components providers like Rectron and Pinnacle can provide me with spares - but as I understand it they sell their pre-build machines (win Win on) for cheaper by spreading the cost of the OS over all their components. So yes, in Europe or USA its prob possible to get MS free stuff, but is darn diff in this part of the world. On Thu, 2007-05-17 at 07:24 -0400, James Knott wrote:
