I think that volume means that you should be able to record whatever would go to your speakers but I have only done line input recordings from my TV/Radio card so I am not certian of that. What source is your mixer set for? Line, Microphone, CD, Line1, PhoneIn, Video, or Volume? Are you sure that you haven't muted the source of your recording?
