Since installing 15.4, I've noticed Amarok frequently stops. With 15.3, it would play for hours without issue. Anyone else notice this? Looking that the title line right now, I don't see a next song listed. I do see the previous song, which it stopped after. I then had to click on play again. It's Amarok v 2.9.71

Last time this happened to me, the cause must have been related to Phonon settings. Try changing or updating backends in phononsettings. I'm using gstreamer now without any issues. -- Regards, Peter

I'm not a multimedia guy, so I'm not sure what I'd be looking for. However, I do have gstreamer from packman.

One other thing, I suspect it's an Amarok issue as when it stops, I often have to click the play button multiple times to get it to play again.

I'm using amarok 2.9.75git with the gstreamer phonon backend (check in phononsettings) on oS Tumbleweed and have no such issue. Perhaps it is caused by amarok, but it is unlikely, as amarok is not updated often. I would check the file types of the songs it stops on; perhaps the related gstreamer plugin is missing. Also, you could try switching to the vlc backend and see if you can repeat the issue. -- Regards, Peter

I'm running v 2.9.71. I'm playing the exact same files as with 15.3, MP3s. I've been playing them for years and this is a new issue with 15.4. Hmmm, that 2.9.71 is what the app says, but Yast software management says 2.9.75git is installed.
