I was just curious if anybody knew when 9.2 is scheduled to be released, and what major packages it will contain. (kernel, kde, gnome, etc.). Thanks! -- visit me at http://www.sparticus.us

I'm fairly certain it will contain a kernel. ;-)
I'd wager that kde, gnome, and /etc will be in there too. :) Based on the existance of ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/9.2, I'd bet that a release isn't that far off, either. --Danny

I have a copy of 9.2 beta. It isn't complete; there are some packages missing from it. It contains: KDE 3.3 Gnome 2.6 Kernel 2.6.8 Evolution 2.0.1 Gaim .82 Apache 2.0.50 PostgreSQL 7.4.5 Samba 3.0.7 Better installer Novell's New Yast stuff - however it doesn't contain some SLES 9 packages :-( ex. (openLDAP server) New Sun java stuff- packages are all broken up. Release notes describe why. note- It is possible to take Suse 9.1 and put the YaST2 packages from SLES9 in it to turn it into GUI server based administration. There are about 5 or so deps that you will need to install. I haven't tested all the modules but seems to work fine. Craig Herring

oh, come on marcus, I thought this was linux, NOT Microsoft. What matters if we know the beta testers, the state their working with and general status! In my case and thoughts, it adds to my level of confidence that the product when in production will be at a good level, not full of basic bugs. my 2 bits scsijon
