Login manager changed after updates
I have two SuSE 10.1 machines here and after doing updates recently on both of them, now both login managers have changed. The backgrounds are gone and the user list is no longer embedded in the screen, instead is now in a box center screen with the user name and password fields, black surrounds the box. Also, I've noticed my remote administration does not work, just hangs trying to connect via VNC. I can go to the terminal and type 'vncserver', which created a session on :2 and then use that with no problem. Can someone tell me what these updates may have done and how to fix them? I have several configured catalogs in the software updater. Thanks in advance, -- Robert

Thanks in advance,
I *think* what you are asking has already been discussed and one solution was to run "genkdmconf --no-old" (without the quotes) or simply renaming the file /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc to "kdmrc.new" and the (?)kdmrc.bak to kdmrc (which is what I did). Cheers. -- I'm dangerous when I know what I'm doing.
