Has anyone out there experimented with xbarcode or its non-gui version, bar? I was trying them last night and did not succeed in creating any barcodes. All it says is "barcode konnte nicht erzeugt werden," with no hint of what the problem is. Are other options available in Linux for printing barcodes? Thank you. *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional KDE 3.0.0 KMail 1.4 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S. I am quite satisfied with barcode (barcode-0.96-38 in SuSE 7.3) Works great for printing DLT tape labels. The actual command I am using is: barcode -i labels.txt -e 39 -c -t 3x10+.5+.5 -m 37,15 -u in -p 8.5x11in | a2ps -1 where file labels.txt contains strings to be bar-coded (like DD2034) Regards, -Kastus

Look here for a simple barcode program (generates barcodes as pbm files) www.pruimboom.tk Grtz Dries
