The server on my little home-network is running SuSE 7.1 pro. The personal forewall is installed, but not active. I want to administrate CUPS over the web. CUPS is on port 631, and I can reach it from a browser under X on the server. But when I try to reach it from the browser on a windows98 workstation the answer is: "Forbidden You don't have permission to access the resource on this server." Where can the config-error be hiding? mvh... Morten Christensen

I want to administrate CUPS over the web. CUPS is on port 631, and I can reach it from a browser under X on the server.

Where can the config-error be hiding?
Changes in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf opened up to web-access. But it is hard to understand the system, and by now I have only access to :631/printers/ and not to /admin, /classes, /documentation or /jobs. mvh... Morten Christensen
