Hello List, I am doing some research regarding deployment of SuSE Linux Enterprise on the IBM iSeries (aka AS/400) in preparation for deployment at the company I work for. Does anyone on this list have any experience with deployment of SuSE on this platform? Are you aware of any pitfalls I should be alert for or have any suggestions which may make our deployment go smoother? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jesse L. You might want to checkout www.ibm.com/linux (i.e., "Linux on iSeries Implementation Guide Redbook", "http://lists.linuxppc.org/", etc.). Lots of info there. Good Luck. -- __________________________ DJ mailto: linux_programmer@hotmail.com

Shouldn't be a problem, installation and use, IBM tested it thoroughly - so if anything doesn't work we can always blame it on them ;-) Seriously: we support all IBM platforms and it's a joined effort. Each party takes responsibility for their parts. IBM takes care of all IBM system dependent issues like hardware driver stuff, and we take care of everything general-Linux and we are the integrators, i.e. we make the final product. Support is of course also joined, i.e. we won't say "it's an IBM issue" if something doesn't work but sort it out with them behind your back. Michael
