since the before last Tumbleweed update every new window's lower right corner is set to the lower right corner of the actual screen - except for apps or windows for which I have defined special windows rules. Especially for Firefox and KMail this is really annoying.

Any idea, what might cause this?

I see similar, re: corner. they start in a corner, not necessaryily the lower right but seems always a "corner".
