******casting my electrons to the solar winds .... ****** I dont believe I eer got an answer to the "clean install" vs "update" question. Does this list favour one or the other, and why? ( I'm really hoping the new package ( package as in boxed software >s>) will arrive today.. or at the altesest tomorrow, as it seems I might actually have a clear 38 hrs to install update or whatever else the boxen here... ( reset permissions, firewall, etc, And have all the boxes untampered w/ until I quit >G>, of course, once teh time is up ...... well, sic transit Gloria mundi ... users will have thier way w/ everything once again. ) IF it's a wipe everything asn start over, I want to be sure and tell folks to back up anything they dont wish to lose tonight !!! AND if it's just "update" ??? Well, perhaps it would be wise for tehm to backup anything they dont wish to lose TONIGHT , anyway... but it seems to get done more often in the cases where they think the drive will be erased ... >heavy sigh> Blondely j afterthought: Me ... a skeptic? I trust you have proof.
LOL I see the funny side of your e-mail. If they are going to backup anyway you might as well do a fresh install. That way *if* anything did go wrong with the update there will be no time wasted with doing the fresh install afterwoods. Just my 2 or cents. Matt On Thu, 22 Feb 2001 jfweber@eternal.net wrote:

Forgot one thing, how fast is it to put all the data back onto the users machines? Or do they do that themselves? Matt On Thu, 22 Feb 2001 jfweber@eternal.net wrote:

I always prefer a clean install. I'm just funny that way. Victor Cardona
