[opensuse] desktops
Hi- I usually use 4 of them, and switch with the mouse. How can I switch with the keyboard? Thanks philli@rcn.com (using 10.0) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ctrl tab works as well. It brings up a list of the windows and then just tab to the one you want. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

[Assuming KDE.] I removed the shortcut for CTRL+TAB because it interferes with key shortcuts I find very convenient in other applications. I also add mappings for CTR+ALT+<arrow> that switch to adjacent virtual desktops. These shortcuts are controlled from the KDE Control Center. In the "Regional & Accessability" section the "Keyboard Shortcuts" settings are where they're managed.

I use alt-tab which brings up a list of applications that are running. Makes it really easy. But to do this, you want to set the 'traverse windows on all desktops' under settings --> desktops --> window behavior --> focus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
you can do ctrl+f1 (for window 1), ctrl+f2 (window 2) and so on... however, if you are using XGL or beryl, those features are disabled. you can enable the switch on xgl by going through a config editor, you can run this by running `gnome-xgl-settings` command. Go to Desktop->cube, and assign shortcuts for rotating from one desktop to another. Hope that helps
