When I try to add this installation source I get this error message after 20-25 minutes: Unable to create installation source from URL 'ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.suse.com/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.1/yast-source'. Details: ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media) Try again? What does this mean? And what do I do to make this work? Thanks, Jerome

don't start the directory string with a slash, that may be the root cause. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

I asked the same question 16 hours earlier (Wed, 29 Sep 2004 16:20:15 -0400) in unanswered thread "YaST Won't Add Source". Can you try another installation source? IT seems that sometimes it's on the other end. Also double, double and triple check for typos. I have a real problem with my keyboard not doing what I tell it to do:-} Rich

I tried two sources. The first was the group of rpms I first downloaded with wget into a previously non-existant directory, after which I used to file picker to select. Only after that failed did I try the gwdg.de ftp source, with the exact same failure message reported. -- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Psalm 33:12 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg. Hi Richard, I've tried it with and without a slash in the directory string and I get the same result. Maybe it's the fact that this supplementary is for KDE 3.2? Jerome
