New Open Office release 641c
Since it was just released a few days ago, I thought I would mention that Open Office 641c (beta) has been released. You can download it at www.openoffice.org. The 638c release had some problems on my SuSE 7.3 system, it would crash when you accessed the menus. This release does not have that problem. Definately worth checking out. The binary download is about 70MB. ===== LPIC-1 N+ MCSE The difference between Linux and Microsoft is the difference between trust and anti-trust. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It has the same issue. It happens when I my res is over 1280X1024..if I keep it at 1280X1024 then it works great..if I go to 1600X1200 it fries. * Keith Winston (lessthan0_98@yahoo.com) [011223 14:39]: ->Since it was just released a few days ago, I thought I would ->mention that Open Office 641c (beta) has been released. SuSE 7.3, kde 2.2.2, glibc 2.2.4-64, nvidia's 2313 driver, xf86-4.1.0-45 (has stayed up btw since you adviced be to go back to the cd version. thanks), and I don't know what else is relevant. OpenOffice 638C, 641 and 641C and staroffice6.0beta works just fine at 1600x1200. I can use menus without problems. What else are you running that could be causing this? //Anders

I have no idea why it's cranky with me at that res. I don't mind 1280X1024 accept that I have a 21' monitor that looks very good at the 1600 setting. It's not that big of a deal right now...so I haven't really investigated it.
