Question on Gaim... gtk_combo_box_new_with_model
I just re-formatted my machine to run SuSE 9.1 and are trying to get my apps back up and running.. I grabbed the newest gaim Rpm from www.usr-local-bin.org and when I run Gaim from the command line it works, but when I try to add and account, it closes gaim w/ no warning, on the console I see.. charles@linux:~> gaim gaim: error while loading shared libraries: gaim: undefined symbol: gtk_combo_box_new_with_model charles@linux:~> Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks all... Charles Love

Hi James, The link is dead on your site.. I get.. Not Found The requested URL /misc/gtk2-2.4.1-100.SuSE.ulb.3.i586.rpm was not found on this server. That was the 1st place I looked :) -- ======================================================================== Charles@localhost www.spazmataz.net -+- Running Evolution 1.5.9 on SuSE 9.1 -+- ========================================================================

Ah, that's my fault - I restructured the site, missed those links, it'll be sorted in about five minutes when the servers are synchronised... -- James Ogley, UNIX Systems Administrator, Pinnacle Insurance Plc james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 (0) 20 8731 3619 www.pinnacle.co.uk Personal: james@rubberturnip.org.uk www.rubberturnip.org.uk Updated GNOME packages for SUSE LINUX: www.usr-local-bin.org

Well I used Red-Carpet to in install the 3 apps, then I rebooted and found none of my gonme apps would work, not even Gonome Desktop.. I had to boot into KDE, and re-install GTK2 from the 9.1 CD.. should i have seen that? -- ======================================================================== Charles@localhost www.spazmataz.net -+- Running Evolution 1.5.9 on SuSE 9.1 -+- ========================================================================

I backed down to 2.2.4 and everything was working again.. I came across http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/nnlsmag/features/a_build_gaim_nls.html This TID got me up and running on GTK 2.2.4 and its running as it should.. so if anyone has issues like I did, this should solve it.. -- ======================================================================== Charles@localhost www.spazmataz.net -+- Running Evolution 1.5.9 on SuSE 9.1 -+- ========================================================================
