Hi, Yesterday I was deleteing few users from the YaSt 'user administrator' interface, these where users which I didn't need anymore on my system and some of them came as default during the installation. While removing some of the users I got a warning asking if I wanted to delete the directories as well, which I did, everything went fine until when I deleted the game user... at this point YaST crashed and now I cannot use it anymore...when I try to run it an error comes up saying: '/bin/sh: /tmp/s515_0_S: No such file or directory program aborted! ERROR: Open Output File, DETAIL: 0 FILE: SystemCmd.cc LINE: 487' ... any idea how to solve the problem? My other question is: I manage to connect to my ISP via modem but when using Netscape the pages are loaded very slowly... How can I check if my modem is running at full speed ? I use a 56K. -- Luca Colombi System Administrator The Hub Communications Co. Ltd. One of the warnings that pop up says the following: Home directory of user "games" is "/tmp". It is not under /home as usual with normal home directories. Are you absolutely certain you want to delete this directory with all its subdirectories? You said "yes, I'm sure" and YaST did it. So now you don't have a /tmp directory anymore which breaks lots of programs.

Hello, Does anybody have the source for the latest WvDial (1.20)? I've been trying to download it from their site but I keep getting errors that it cannot find the file. If you do have it can you email it to me, or tell me an alternate location from where to get it. Thanks. This is why learning what YaST does is good because you can easly fix this. To delete the user games you can just remove it from the pass word files. from /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow charlesiii@theverge.com <A HREF="http://theverge.com"><A HREF="http://theverge.com</A">http://theverge.com</A</A>> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
