From long time ago I remember that there was a switch program from which you could leave KDE and go to Gnome or Icewm. Does such a program still exist and how do I get it?

I vaguely remember seeing something like it. But isn't it easy enough to either log out and log back through gdm/kdm or even switch profile logging into another window manager? -- Take care. Kevan Farmer 34 Hill Street Cheslyn Hay Staffordshire WS6 7HR

Dear Kevan, You are of course right and that is the method I am using now. But I remember that that switch-program was just faster and easier ;-).

Hallo! You may start your X session as "failsafe" and run and stop the window managers from the command line. The next step could be to build your window manager manager (with tcl/tk or perltk or even shell skript?) an start it in your .xinitrc. -- Viele Grüße ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael Behrens
