[opensuse] After update no mouse wheel zoom in Gimp -- howto fix?
Listmates, After updates this past week, the middle-mouse wheel no longer (zooms in/out) any more in gimp. How do I fix this?. I searched through gimp, and I've looked in system settings, keyboard & mouse, but no luck. What did I overlook? Thanks. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. You *are* holding down the <ctrl> key when scrolling the mouse wheel? ps, please set your editor to break lines at <78 cols, 245 is a bit much. tks -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Err, uh, ctrl key? Never needed that before, but hey it works! On the editor deal, there is a macro for emacs that does exactly what you ask on the client end. If I manually break @ 78, then all my sent-mail is useless unless I manually extract and 'join' every line to get rid of the paragraph breaks. (not to mention all the broken URLs that get sent. We had an entire thread on this not more than a month ago. If you need the emacs macro, I'm sure we can find it. Let us know. ;-) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. there is an option to configure keystrokes and save them.

What good will an emacs macro do me? Do I *use* emacs? What you are saying is that everyone needs to adjust their client software to make up for your local preferences. I doubt that will happen. But then *you* do not necessarily need to conform to this standard, either (hint excessive quoting). That zooms a lot (50%, 67%, 100%, 150% 200%, 300%). Is it adjustable? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. It is progressive, but I don't think adjustable. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
