can somebody explain me how gmane works. I subscribed to this list trhough gmane (in addition to the direct subscription). The first time I answered I was asked to confirm the mail, what I did, and got an answer: you are welcome to post. the next mails I send are accepted without notice. but I don't see them on the list. also in my news reader (mozilla) I have no archive. The option "all" and the option "unread" gives the same result. if so the news are unsusefull... did I miss something? You can use gmane to read SLE, but not to post to it. The SLE list maintainer does not support that. For email submissions to SLE, it is checked that the sender from the mail envelope is subscribed. When you post via gmane, their sender address is used, not yours, leading to rejection of your posting. Though several people tried, it has not been successful to subscribe the gmane posting address to SLE.
