what is the simpler (and faster, still more than 100Gb to backup) way to do this?
find + tar/cpio.
this I Know, but it's extremely slow better? jdd NB: right now I place the big files in a separate disk space not to be backed, but I happen to forget some files - just one hour ago a page.sys windows file of 2GB... -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

jdd, in which way is it slow? find can be slow if you have a lot of files per directory, but that also depends on the type of filesystem. Besides, if you need to transfer 100Gb over UBS, it _will_ take a certain time. I'm sure you can find the files faster than the time it takes to copy them over USB. /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.7°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
