Thanks a lot; I knew that SuSE was cool. It wasn't all "automatic", but it certainly wasn't the hard-way either (I was already configuring a new kernel for compilation). Additional note: xf86_glx does not exist in the original kit, it can't be installed with YaST. This was a mistake with 8.0 - they forgot to put it on the disks: http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/xf86glx_int.html You need to use YOU to download it, and then run switch2xf86_glx as root. You will then need to restart the X server. HTH Kevin
