Yep. If you as a user fire up the YOU module and put the root passwd in it does appear to die. But if you just start yast2 and choose the online update it works perfectly. It's probably a bug in the "yast2-config-online-update.desktop" link. You don't loose the ability to use YOU. Not as far as I can see. Just a favor BTW..could you not put 10 spaces between each statement..it makes for huge emails.
