SuSE 7.2 uses ALSA sound support . The files in misc are for the alsa modules. In order to provide the same support in 2.4.7, you need to grab the alsa driver, libs, and utilities from the www.alsa-project.org site and install them. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------- + + Bruce S.
