[opensuse] unwiling start and stop of opensuse11-kde-session

When I startup my machine it will first give a message "could not start window manager". Subsequently I give the command "startkde" and my machine starts fine. When I want to stop it (and close it down), it worked fine in earlier versions to right-click the mouse, and subse- quently indicate "leave". I still can do that, but this only leaves KDE, and the machine continues to run. Anyone a suggestion what to do to make the machine start running KDE from the beginning, and to really shut down the machine when I tell it to Leave?
