Hi people...ok ok ok couple of questionz..... 1) Ok I compile my custom kernel make dep, clean, modules, modules_install...blah blah blah and all this bull**** ok then when I boot it boots normaly until to the point where it says...checking modules dependencies...well and there is stops. What happens is the hard disk stops and I have to press Ctrl-C to skip the dependency check and move to another task. When I do that it continues normaly but the x-server does not load. I can only login on text mode. What gives? Is it some module dependency probelmo? When I do depmod -a -e it say quite a lot of modules have some kinda of inconsistency....why?? what can I do? 2) Questiona numero dos....I have a 3d card with the NVidia TNT2 chip on it. Could I use this to play GLQuake? if not could I use it as a doorstop? thanxxxx Vas.... -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Right, this may be a stupid question, but your blah blah blah bit could cover it... did you actually compile the kernel? If you compiled the modules without compiling the kernel, you would get lots of dependency errors. Did you do a 'make bzImage' or something similar?
2) Questiona numero dos....I have a 3d card with the NVidia TNT2 chip on it. Could I use this to play GLQuake? if not could I use it as a doorstop?
