Why is it that when I attempt to compile KDE apps I run into this (output from running configure): --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- checking for KDE... libraries /opt/kde2/lib, headers /opt/kde2/include checking for extra includes... no checking for extra libs... no checking for kde headers installed... configure: error: your system is not able to compile a small KDE application! Check, if you installed the KDE header files correctly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I run into this on any of several 7.3 systems. I never had the problem in 7.2 or before, and to the best of my reckoning, I've installed all the KDE libs I can find on the installation CD for 7.3. -Thomas Long tlong@eskimo.com -- Using SuSE Linux 7.3

Configure creates a log file named - surprise! - config.log. Check it to see what went wrong. Philipp
