Hi Jim, I think it was AHA152X, just try and error ;-) Best done for starters with the boot floppy, try to load the module. I think you need to pass on parameters for I/O and IRQ as well. Had you looked into the source, you'd have seen that it mentions the
AIC-6260 ;-) Me therefore thinks aha152x *is* the right choice.

Isn't that printed on the board? The bit that frustrated me, was that the description was 1=..,2=..,3,4 order, wereas the jumpers were in 4,3,2,1 order suggesting it the other way round. before I learned that, I learned NFS install instead of the use of the external CDROM ;-) ...
