Hi Use a program like "Sound Mixer Panel" or aumix to turn up the volume, it will be saved to you next session as long as you don't reboot. //Stefan -- |s t e f a n b e r g |sb@n0ll.com |public key available at keyservers -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Any recommendations for how to save audio settings over a reboot? Paul Abrahams -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

With OSS, use aumix to save and restore your settings. With ALSA, this is
done automatically by the initscript.

I'd say, try ALSA, if it supports your Card. ALSA comes with a program to
store mixer settings (levels and mute/unmute) and the initscript restores
those settings. IMO the easiest solution.
