I'm just giving a try to your 2.6.35 kernel rpms but as this is the first time I install more than one kernel I would like to ask you some questions. I tried the rpm command way but system tells me that the package I'm trying are in conflict with another (current kernel) so seems that I can't just pass it in that way.
The kernel source always has to be from the kernel getting installed or you will get errors. Sorry I forgot to mention that. It assures that when you build kernel modules, etc.. you actually get a working module for the current kernel. Just let the new rpms that do conflict replace the current 2.6.34 packages. I think you can just look at the dependency conflict and manually uninstall the one that conflicts and then use the 'rpm -ivh *.rpm'. Uninstalling the conflict is much better than using the options --replacepkgs --replacefiles. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
