[opensuse] USB irda and my dive computer
Hey all... I am trying to get my dives off a UWATEC Aladin Prime. I am running the smarttrak software using wine, and although it has some graphics problems it seems to be running correctly. However it can find the dive computer. I am using a USB Irda dongle that I get the following from dmesg: [ 8588.595384] usb 4-3: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2 [ 8588.774785] usb 4-3: New USB device found, idVendor=9710, idProduct=7780 [ 8588.774799] usb 4-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0 [ 8588.774992] usb 4-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 8588.826635] NET: Registered protocol family 23 [ 8588.847889] usbcore: registered new interface driver mcs7780 [ 9246.620295] IrCOMM protocol (Dag Brattli) I am no sure where to go next. When I tried to set up irda in Yast, all it gave me for choices were /dev/ttyS1 .. 3, which didn't work. So..... Any ideas? BTW, I am running OpenSUSE 11.2 KDE 4.3.4 and 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop -- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes _.._ _ ."\__/"./`_\ _/__<__>__\/ jgs `"/_/""""\_\\ Adolph & Sharon Weidanz SuSE 11.2 '78 43' Endeavour Ketch Folding@Home Team 45 S/V Time To Paws -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
