[SLE] sound blaster live
Sound Blaster Live I followed the manual installation Creative supplied w/the tar file just to be on the safe side. I moved the sound drivers in /misc to never never land and tard them in my home. Then I cleaned /etc/modules.conf and put in the apporiate reference to the new driver. but then I get this error modprobe sblive /lib/modules/2.2.13/misc/soundcore.o: /lib/modules/2.2.13/misc/soundcore.o: No such file or directory /lib/modules/2.2.13/misc/soundcore.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.13/misc/soundcore.o failed /lib/modules/2.2.13/misc/soundcore.o insmod sblive failed The directions told me to remove everything in that folder including soundcore.o. I am assuming SuSE wanted me to use Creative Lab driver becuase there was a link to the wdriver under supported by seperate program in the SuSE hardware database. Thanks, Jim Pharis PS. I am using original Kernel. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo! Jim, ALSA drivers are too better than OSS drivers. ALSA drivers allows you to use MIDI Synth, OSS ones donŽt. So I advice you to download the latest ALSA driver from: http://www.alsa-project.org I hope this help you, Luis Pablo Gasparotto Jim Pharis wrote:
