Hi, I am using an encrypted directory (/home) using the tool from the first install (just click the button !!!) everything was fine till I update my notebook using Suse YOU. Now, the start up procedure do not ask me the password ... then I lost my data !!! What can I do , Help me please ... Ok, it sounds like your kernel has twofish and/or loopback not compiled in. You in luck, since it is only your /home filesystem, and not /usr that is protected! First, you need to compile a new kernel, ensuring that both twofish and loopback are compiled as modules. These are both located next to each other under the block devices section of "make xconfig". If you don't know how to recompile your kernel, contact me privately and I will walk you through it. Next, check the file /etc/cryptotab and ensure that something like: /dev/loop0 /dev/hda9 /home reiserfs twofish noatime is in it. Pay particular attention to the device (/dev/hda9 in my case) and the file system type (reiserfs in my case). This file's contents are probably fine, it is most likely just your kernel that needs the fix.
